The 1858 valuation roll for Hobart appeared
in the Hobart Town Gazette of Tuesday, 16 March 1858.
Hobart valuation rolls are ordered by street, with no alphabetical
listing of occupiers or owners within a street. This compilation
of the records provides an alphabetical listing both by owner of
the property and occupier of the property. The publication
also provides an indexed copy of Jarman's 1858 map of Hobart Town,
a street index to the original document and a list of street name
changes since 1858. For each entry, the owner, occupier, annual
value, address and description of the property is provided. |
