The voyage of the Rajah, carrying 180 female convicts tried in England and Scotland, is renowned for the making of the Rajah Quilt by some of the women on board.

Patchwork Prisoners provides detailed information about the convicts transported on the Rajah in 1841. You can access biographies of each of the 180 convicts.

This map shows the proportion of Rajah convicts born in the counties of Britain and Ireland.

A small number of convicts were born in France, Spain, America and the East Indies.
